About the Role

Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:30pm- 6:30pm (with some flexibility and occasional weekends)

11-year-old boy. The family has 1 dog and 2 birds in the home. The daily job tasks include supporting the client with ADL tasks, including working on social skills, how to have conversations and maintain friendships with other children, learning and completing basic chores, cuing/reminders for basic tasks such as brushing teeth and washing hands thoroughly, and practice with communication skills such as reading books together, penmanship, and speaking up and not whispering. There are no behavioral needs/aggression, no bathroom support needs, and no need for transportation.

Requirements

  • Daily Requirements: 

    • Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s) 

    • Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes. 

    • Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift. 

    • Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments.  Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.  

    • Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
