About the Role

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2PM- 3:45pm

Client is a very active 5-year-old boy, who loves to jump and climb. He is always on the go and is very happy. Client has some limited language use but is able to communicate his needs consistently and successfully. Family is working with client to help him keep his clothes on while in the house, as he often takes everything off as soon as he gets home. Family is seeking a patient DSP who can continue working on this goal, as well as provide mealtime, dressing, and toileting support. transportation is not needed, and care will be at home. Family would like some educational activities to be provided before he has playtime (reading, fine-motor activities, etc.).

Requirements

  • Daily Requirements: 

    • Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s) 

    • Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes. 

    • Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift. 

    • Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments.  Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.  

    • Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
