About the Role
Schedule: Three times per week for 8 hours. DSP can choose exact days and start time, but preferably not consecutive and may have to schedule around other existing supports.
19-year-old male. Looking for two DSPs who can assist with grocery shopping, food (cooking), basic housework such as trash and, cleaning the floor, and laundry.
DSPs may need to be at the hospital when the client's mom gets hospitalized for the client to be with her. DSP will take Roberto for a short period outside of the hospital room for Roberto to get fresh air during these times. Spanish speaking highly preferred if possible.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
