About the Role
Schedule: Saturdays and/or Sundays. Especially need help Sunday mornings. Scheduling is flexible as long as it is the same time each day.
We are seeking a caring and energetic caregiver to provide care for an 11-year-old boy with Autism who is nonverbal. The client needs a DSP to support with activities of daily living, build independence, and develop social and emotional regulation skills. The client needs a DSP who can get him engaged in the community, including attending church and going to the park or store. Driver needed.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
