About the Role
Schedule: Monday, Thursday, Friday pick up after school 3:15pm-4:30pm.
Client is a 9-year-old girl with fetal alcohol syndrome. She has great communication and is smart, but certain things can be difficult for her to understand. She is physically able to do things but struggles cognitively with executive dysfunction, an inability to keep track of time, getting distracted by sensory inputs, getting dysregulated, etc. Overall, she needs someone to guide her through things, to help her remember the steps of her routines and to keep the house and her personal spaces clean and safe (including helping her with hygiene, tidying up throughout the day, eating, doing bathroom tasks, etc.) Needs a DSP that is patient and understanding, who won't take the client's reactions personally or see it as willful defiance. Someone who can be flexible with the routine as best as possible depending on the day.
Client/family prefers a trans-friendly worker.
