About the Role
Schedule: Monday 10a.m.-4p.m, Tuesday and Wednesday 10a.m..-3 p.m.
Schedule may be slightly flexible on end time
Description:
26year-old young man, looking for a fun and supportive DSP to spend time with him working on crafts and hobbies such as Lego building.
This client would also like support in the community. DSP will need to be able to provide transportation and can assist him in community outings. He enjoys going to art classes, going to get coffee , neurodivergent meet-ups and taking walks in the community.
Responsibilities:
Provide transportation for community events (mileage reimbursement available for this client)
Maintain supervision.
Monitor transactions during outings
Qualifications:
Must have reliable vehicle and auto insurance
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
