About the Role
Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:15am-4pm, occasional weekend availability.
Client is a 6-year-old girl. She is very sweet and affectionate. She thrives on routine as this helps her with transitions. The family is looking for a DSP(s) that can help create a routine for days spent together, and can potentially incorporate potty training into said routine. The client gets all food and medication through a G-tube, and needs full assistance with toileting, hygiene, safety, etc. Parents would like a DSP who can provide transportation from school, and is also interested in taking the client to community activities.
Responsibilities:
- DSP who is g-tube-trained and who is vaccinated for COVID and the Flu.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
