About the Role
Schedule: 8-10 hours a week (four hours each day 9 am - 1/1:30 pm). "We would like to have help Wednesdays and alternate Thursday/Fridays. We could be flexible on days and include Tuesday when he doesn’t have Early Intervention"
This 3 year old client is an easy-going kid, and needs a caring DSP to help him engage with his environment. Job tasks include diaper changes, ensuring his feedings/medications given via g-tube are on schedule, transferring him from the floor to seating chair, and helping with his therapies like appropriate play and practicing communication since he currently has no verbal communication. He had a liver transplant and his immune system is still suppressed, so it's important for the DSP to be healthy/vaccinated, and notifies the parents if they're sick or have been around someone who is sick. Family has 1 dog in the home who doesn't shed.
