Schedule:
Monday - Friday evenings, 5PM - 8PM ideally, but open to other 2–3-hour time frames.
Saturday & Sunday, 1 or 2PM -5PM.
Description:
Client is a very sweet, smart young man, with a great personality, who enjoys reading, Minecraft, and many favorite foods. Client typically communicates verbally but may use more non-verbal communication when dysregulated. Family is looking for a kind, gentle, calm, and patient DSP who can support the client in increasing his physical activity, expanding his diet, providing behavioral and emotional regulation support, increasing community involvement, and helping the client build routine/structure. Client would benefit from a DSP who is also able to increase his safety awareness (i.e. traffic/safety awareness and judgement/decision-making support). Family would like a DSP who is able to provide transportation, but it is not required.
Requisitos
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
