About the Role
Schedule: Mon-Fri 5:30/6am to around 8am (school drop off transportation needed), Afterschool hours from school 2:30pm-7pm around bedtime.
The client is a 7-year-old boy. He loves to make people laugh, playing with puzzles and blocks, and having things clean. He will need someone who can observe his cues and help him name his feelings. Tasks include - caring for him in the morning so their dad can make breakfast for everyone, or give him an after-school snack and play with him, dropping off and picking him up from school, maybe going to the park. .
Responsibilities:
- Transportation required.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
