Location: West Linn, OR 97068 (moms' home) & Tigard (dads' home)
Summer Schedule: Mom is flexible with schedule
Monday 11am-3pm
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday anytime from 11am-11:30pm
Mom is looking for a full-time DSP for summer
School Schedule: Parent is unsure and will discuss when days are closer.
Needs: This is a 17-year-old teen who enjoys staying active and engaged in his community. He loves skateboarding and is looking for someone who can accompany him to skate parks, explore new places, and participate in fun community activities. The client benefits from verbal reminders and support with daily living skills, including personal hygiene, room cleaning, and completing household chores. He is currently interested in finding employment and would benefit from assistance exploring career interests, searching for job opportunities, and completing applications. The client lives between both parents' homes, so the DSP must be comfortable providing services at both locations. There are also two dogs in the mother's home. The family is looking for a DSP who can provide guidance, keep him engaged in positive activities, and support him in making responsible choices.
Requirements:
DSP who is outgoing, active, and community-oriented
Enjoys participating in recreational activities, especially skateboarding
Comfortable supporting employment goals and life skills development
Enjoys exploring new places and trying new activities.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills
Interest in skateboarding, sports, or outdoor recreation is a plus
Qualifications:
Experience working with teenagers or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred, but not required
Ability to serve as a positive role model and encourage healthy decision-making
Patient, dependable, and able to provide consistent guidance and support
Comfortable assisting with life skills development, including personal hygiene, household chores, and daily routines
Ability to redirect behaviors, encourage positive peer relationships, and promote safe choices
Ability to travel between family homes, including services provided in Tigard
Requisitos
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
