About the Role
Schedule:
Monday-Friday from 4-7pm
Sunday 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM
(multiple providers can cover these shifts)
Client Description: This 20-year-old client wants to make more friends her age, but needs help developing more social skills. She struggles with reciprocal conversation and has very delayed responses, but she comes alive with topics of interest, such as food/restaurants, zodiac signs, and her favorite shows. She needs constant supervision due to safety concerns (such as falling), but she's generally very calm, and needs a new DSP to shake things up and help her come out of her shell. DSP would help her grow into more self-care routines, see that she starts helping out around the house, and take her out into the community for engagement, i.e. classes at her local community college, grocery shopping, or even just going for a walk around the neighborhood. DSP would also need to help her with things related to her fine motor skills, such as helping her get her shoes on. Overall, they're looking for someone who has positive energy and initiative to inspire her with!
