About the Role
Schedule:
Priority: Monday-Friday from 6am-9am
Also: Flexible and open weekend hours
Needs:
Mom is seeking a DSP for a 6-year-old, energetic, non-verbal, little boy, who loves going to the park, playing at home, and watching his favorite videos. Client is currently working with a communication device and enjoys a structured routine at home. Additionally, the client's mother would like him to be supported in light meals, positive engagement with chosen activities, basic hygiene and toileting, and dressing.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
