About the Role
Schedule: 3:30pm - Any time, weekdays; and flexible on weekends.
Client is an 8-year-old girl who is full of energy and likes to explore. She has shown recent interest in friends and friendships, and enjoys connection with those around her. Family is seeking a DSP who can provide a play-based learning environment, so client can build skills while having fun, including calming strategies and self-regulation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Family would like a DSP who can provide transportation to and from community activities, and from the bus stop after school.
- It is important to the family that the DSP have some experience with elopement, as this is a risk of the client's.
- Some basic hygiene tasks involved.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
