About the Role
Schedule: M/Th/F, 12pm-3pm
Needs: Client is a 58-year-old woman, with developmental delays who enjoys watching TV, reading, dancing in her backyard, and attending her local sensory museum and movie theater. Family is seeking a DSP who can spend a few afternoons with her each week. Client can be onery at times and does not always like to do the things that are doctor recommended regarding health and wellness, so a DSP who can provide gentle awareness and encouragement in this area would be helpful. Client has a dry sense of humor and would like a DSP that also has a sense of humor, and an easy, light-hearted attitude.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
