About the Role
Schedule:
Mon-Fri Afterschool hours from school 2:30pm-7pm around bedtime.
The client is a 9-year-old boy. He loves to sing, playing games on his MP3 player, and hands on learning. He will need someone who can validate his feelings and help him build confidence. Tasks include - caring for him in the morning so their dad can make breakfast for everyone, or give him an after-school snack and play with him, picking him up from school, maybe going to the park.
Responsibilities:
- Transportation required.
Must be comfortable with commuting to the clients home (use zip-code 97213 for commute reference)
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
