About the Role
Summer Schedule: Tuesday and/or Wednesday 4-8 hours during the day anytime before 5pm
Schoolyear Schedule: Tuesday after school 3pm-5pm only
Occasional weekend shifts available to accompany on family outings
Client is a 10 year old boy who is described as being a "ball of sunshine" by his family. Known for his positive attitude, he is also passionate about music, rhythm, video games, computers and cats. He is looking for a patient and fun DSP who would work with him to learn and practice traffic safety and work on his ADLs such as laundry and cleaning his room. He would also like to have a DSP to accompany him and his family on weekend outings to places like the zoo.
Responsibilities:
- DSP needs to be a driver
- Family prefers that the DSP is vaccinated for flu/MMR.
- There are two dogs and two cats in his home so DSP must love animals!
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager 1A
