About the Role

Location: Milwaukie, 97267

Schedule: Mondays 9:00am-2:00pm / Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays from 8:00am-10:00am AND 3:00pm-6:00pm

We are seeking a reliable, firm, and motivating DSP to support a 46‑year‑old woman living with her teenage daughter in Milwaukie. The ideal candidate will provide consistent and reliable transportation to and from work while also ensuring the client maintains a structured routine and completes household tasks before or after her shifts.

The client benefits most from support that encourages accountability, routine‑building, and practical strategies to increase independence. She can be resistant to completing household tasks, so the right DSP will be someone who can remain supportive while also being firm, consistent, and goal‑oriented, helping her build motivation and follow through with responsibilities in the home.
Responsibilities
- Transport client to/from work required

-Assist with meal planning and encourage follow‑through with preparing meals.

-Support organization and completion of household tasks, including cleaning, general upkeep, and cleaning out the refrigerator to maintain organization

Qualifications:

-Transportation required

-Dependable and reliable

-Excellent communication skills

Requirements

Daily Requirements: 

  • Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s) 

  • Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes. 

  • Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift. 

  • Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments.  Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.  

  • Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
