About the Role
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 5am-7:30am and/or 3pm-8pm. Weekends available as well, hours vary.
Client is at Mom's Monday-Wednesday and Saturday during the day. Client stays at Dad's Thursday, Friday, Saturday (night only), and Sundays.
We are seeking a caring and attentive caregiver for a 6-year-old girl. She is nonverbal and non-mobile. She needs support with all ADLs/IADLs - including diaper changes, medication administration, dressing, hygiene, feeding, and potty training. She is very social and would like to participate in activities out in the community. She also loves Disney movies.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily care and assistance to the client, including support with feeding, medication administration, hygiene, toileting, and engaging in activities outside of the home.
Observe client's body language and nonverbal cues to assess her needs and emotional state.
Monitor clients' health and communicate any concerns with parents to ensure coordinated care.
Ensure timely and accurate administration of medications.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to provide transportation to medical appointments if needed.
Must be able to safely lift and transfer client. She weighs 50lbs.
G-tube experience.
Must be comfortable with commuting to the clients home (use zip-code 97222 for commute reference)
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
