About the Role
Schedule:
Every other Friday 8 am-6 pm
Saturday 8 am-6 pm
Sunday 8 am-2 pm.
Description: This client is a loving 8-year-old girl. She is nonverbal with some sign language skills. She is very active and works hard on herself, such as learning additional sign language and working on physical therapy. She loves being outside, so when the weather is nice, she loves to go on walks and to the park. She has a g-tube, and the DSP would be asked to help with suctioning and g-tube feeding. She has a trach and will require suctioning and breathing treatments. On-the-job training and Nurse delegation will be provided. The family has 1 cat and 1 small, hypoallergenic dog.
Requirements:
Must be COVID vaccinated and wear a mask with this client.
Assist with bathing and some assistance with toileting.
Must be comfortable traveling to client’s home in Tigard, use zip-code 97224 for commute reference. DSP does not need to provide transportation.
Must be comfortable with commuting to the clients home (use zip-code 97224 for commute reference)
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
