About the Role
Location: South Portland
Schedule: 5:00am-9:00am Mondays, and 6:00-9:00am Tuesdays-Friday. 6:00 - Open, Weekends.
Mom is seeking a DSP for a 5-year-old, energetic, non-verbal, little boy, who loves going to the park. Client is currently working with a communication device and enjoys a structured routine at home. She would like a DSP who is able to provide transportation to ABA therapy, which the client attends M-F at 9:00am. Additionally, the client's mother would like him to be supported in light meal support, positive engagement with chosen activities, basic hygiene and toileting, and dressing.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
- Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s) 
- Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes. 
- Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift. 
- Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed. 
- Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
