About the Role
Schedule: 7-days-a week: 4pm-11pm, especially Fri-Sun.
Also hoping for: Monday - Friday, 11am-1pm, including school drop-off in family van.
Description: Family is seeking a DSP for their 16-year-old son. They would like a DSP who is warm, patient, funny, and flexible, and able to connect with their son on some of his favorite subjects; Star Wars, Legos, model-building, cooking, and weather. The client's family would like for him to receive support in accessing community activities, meal preparation, medication management, personal care/hygiene, routine-building, transportation to school, and mobility support. Client has muscular dystrophy, uses an electric chair outside the home, and a manual chair inside the home. While he can walk short distances, it is helpful to him to have support as he stands from a seated position, or an accessible elbow as needed.
