About the Role

Schedule: 2:30-6pm Monday-Friday
Help on days off of school would be nice but not required.
Occasional overnight care would be amazing, if possible, but also not required.
Additional hours in summer (shifts from 8am-4pm).

Client Description: This 13-year-old client needs after-school care at home and in the community. The client likes to test new providers boundaries, so the DSP needs to have patience, but no experience is required. She struggles when she is told no/says no back to caregivers, so doing preferred activities with her is ideal, but it's also great to help her through those situations when they come up. She has a Positive Behavior Report Plan in place, which the DSP would be trained on once matched with the client. Client lives with her dads and sister in outer NW Portland, and the family has one calm dog in the home. She absolutely loves sports, so the DSP would take her out to play sports together, such as basketball. She also enjoys lots of pretend play, so the DSP should embrace imaginative thinking while playing with her :)

Responsibilities:
Provide transportation
Assist with dis-regulation as needed

Must be fully vaccinated for flu+COVID (client has autoimmune disorder)
Must have reliable vehicle and auto insurance
