About the Role
Schedule: Thursdays, 2:00pm - 7:00pm, potentially meeting client at her school just down the street and walking home.
Description: Family is looking for a DSP with a calm, nurturing energy, for their 8-year daughter who is upbeat and "girly"; she loves all things sparkly and pink. Client enjoys creative activities such as coloring, singing and dancing, as well as video games and cooking. She has a structured, predictable routine at home. Her parents would like a DSP who can support her in emotion regulation, community involvement, behavior management, snack and meal preparation, as well as light hygiene support. A DSP who can provide overnight relief would be appreciated.
Requirements
Daily Requirements:
Scheduling – each DSP has a set schedule with the assigned client(s)
Smart phone – use a cell phone to clock in/out for visits and complete the daily progress notes.
Patient, Kind and Positive – caring for clients with disabilities requires someone who can be patient, support the client through kindness and understanding, and provide positive reinforcement throughout the shift.
Driving – depending on the client, they may need to be driven to community events or appointments. Valid license and insurance required if driving will be needed.
Support – develop and maintain positive working relationships with the assigned client(s), their families and the FRR Support Manager
